COVID-19 Safety Plan
THIS WILL BE UPDATED AS GUIDANCE IS GIVEN.
Safety Protocols of the Clinic
• Your RMT will self-assess daily and will not work if even mild symptoms are present.
• RMT will wear a mask that will be changed after each treatment and laundered between use
• Posters have been placed in the clinic to explain hand washing procedures, physical distancing, and Covid-19 symptom picture.
• Reusable masks will be sanitized properly before reuse and stored in an
airtight container.
• One day prior to treatment a pre-screening email will be sent to each patient, this must be filled out prior to each session.
• Day of the appointment, each client will be prompted to verbally answer a Covid-19 health questionnaire/consent prior to receiving treatment.
• All payments will continue to be contactless via PayFirma or E-transfer. Cash will be accepted on a case by case basis.
• Direct thermaphore (heat pad) use will be suspended until approval from the College of Massage Therapy has been given.
When you arrive:
• If you are in a high traffic/high risk environment prior to the appointment, please shower and change before arrival.
• Masks are not mandatory but are recommended. If you do not have one and cannot find one before you arrive then a cloth reusable mask will be provided.
• Arrive on time (no earlier than 5 min) to avoid encounters with the person scheduled prior to you.
• Wait in the outside area if someone else is still at the clinic when you arrive or if the clinic door is locked.
• Leave shoes on the mat by the door – please don’t walk them through the clinic.
• Everyone entering the clinic is to use hand sanitizer at the entrance or to wash hands at the rest room sink for at least 20 seconds on arrival and departure (this includes, therapist, patients, and anyone who has accompanied a patient for assistance).
• While in the clinic, everyone will practice physical distancing until such time as the treatment begins and this can no longer be maintained.
• Every surface is cleaned with Lysol – this includes door knobs, faucet handles, face cradle and associated levers, handles and bars, plastic bin for personal belongings, tablet if used for consent forms – extra time has been scheduled between appointments to accommodate the time for these new cleaning protocols
• All linens will continue to be laundered between patients, including blankets, face masks, etc.
When you leave:
• Wash and dry your hands at the rest room sink or use hand sanitizer.
• If you have borrowed a mask, please removed it after you have left the clinic and place it in the receptacle at the entrance door. Please sanitize your hands again after removal.
If you need to cancel your appointment due to COVID-19, no late charges will apply.
